Key to my heart was built in the summer of 2019, as an interactive art installation for Bass Coast Festival. Though aspects of the installation were built prior, in the winter, as part of the stage design for Intention Gathering. It received a grant from Bass Coast.

The piece is a large scale representation of antique keys. In addition to the keys, there is an infinity mirror that is viewable through a giant key hole. Participants can interact with the lighting in the infinity mirror via a pulse sensor mounted on a podium.

It was built by Beatrix the White and Karen Oh.

The Amanita Arcade
The Amanita Arcade was built in the spring and summer of 2016. The piece was built as a
personal project, and received grants from Bass Coast Festival and
the Greater Vancouver Interactive Arts Society (GVIAS).

Aside from being a large scale representation of amanita mushrooms, the piece has an interactive game component. The 4 small mushrooms are spring loaded, contain switches, and act as a controller. The large mushrooms light up red, blue, green, and pink. They flash a pattern that the player must repeat by pressing the corresponding coloured small mushroom. With every correct repetition the pattern increases, testing the players memory. If the player gets the pattern wrong, the game ends and the player must start again.

The piece was built by a small crew consisting of:
Beatrix the White - Lead Artist, Designer, and Builder
Karen Oh - Textile Artist
Joe Lunderville - Electronics Lead, and Programmer
